As an Agatha Christie fan, the history of the train was exciting enough and as we approached the Pullman Restaurant for the first time, it was impossible not to smile. The dark green carriages stand out against the golf course and while admittedly somewhat of a random thing to find in Galway, they also strangely seem to blend in perfectly. After picking a wine we were served our tasty and very generously sized starters goats cheese and pork cheek before ordering mains. The turbot was perfectly cooked while the beef fillet was also delicious with a wonderful puree to complement it. However, the highlight of the meal was the chocolate bomb dessert which I could have easily eaten another of. It was delicious and a perfectly indulgent way to end a very memorable meal.
