A murderous and decrepit old woman resides on a California walnut farm with her family. On a whim, a traveler named Jodie makes a brief side trip to the farm, where he meets and falls in love with Melissa, the proverbial farmer's daughter. Emby Mellay has a lovely alluring and sensual presence about her as a man she never knows approaches her and charms her, but the plot has a ridiculous nonsense in it that really keeps it from being a much better movie. There is, however, that one amazing bit of dialogue when Melissa says, "This is where the fish lives. From the incredibly long opening credits all the way to the end, this movie is mostly empty space. Just a touch Devil, but No God : At the very least, the Devil is a lot more active. Even an actor of the caliber of Robert Easton I , as the leader of a slothful mob, can't inject any excitement into the proceedings. Who would've guessed that breaking a pact with Satan could be so much fun? Jody falls for Melissa and there's an ending that's not really a twist ending, but it's an ending and that's good enough. This movie is almost unwatchable.
