So, this issue of The Walking Dead was basically to set two things in motion. The first thing of note is that the war between The Whisperers and the other surrounding communities. With Beta finding the dead body of Alpha and Gabriel spotting the army of undead approaching, war will be happening at any moment. The other big takeaway is that Negan appears to be playing nice with Rick. Dwight wanted to shoot him on sight when Negan approached Alexandria, so who is to say that he will show more patience now that Rick has trusted him with such an important job. Among other interesting things that happened in this issue of The Walking Dead is a potential romance between Jesus and Aaron. Whether or not this would change how people felt about the upcoming war is yet to be seen, but it will definitely be interesting to see how Lydia reacts to this news. Adding that tension to the other situations going on right now, this could be building a possible storyline for after the war with The Whisperers. Finally, Eugene giving away the location of Alexandria to the people on the radio was a big gamble.
