This started by noise from the clutch on the compressor. It has however been replaced. The AC relay has also been checked and replaced. Yet the light still blinks. And compressor not working.

This is the continuous behavior; light is solid for a few seconds when initially turned on and then flashes. I looked at the belt and saw no obvious signs but I didn't have the time to jack it up and look through the wheel well. What I'm trying to avoid is buying a lot of parts that don't solve the problem. If anyone has advice on steps to take, I'd appreciate it. I saw Sweeney's guide to changing the serpentine belt and I'm hoping that's all it is. So either the belt is worn out and slipping cracks, deep grooves, etc
It appears that it seized and that was the end of it.

Full disclosure, I don't own a 2nd gen nor have I ever set foot in one but I have seen the flashing ac light on older toyotas. It appears that it seized and that was the end of it.

I tried to take a picture of it:. Its called the MGC Relay. I took a look at the ground. I replaced the mag clutch relay. Log in. We flushed the system anyway to be safe. Seems we had a lot do that under warranty then it got quiet. Repair help. What I'm trying to avoid is buying a lot of parts that don't solve the problem. MS22 likes this.
