Welcome to Trattoria Da Teo! As you can see, this is a place that would fit in any Italian movie; the cozy outdoor seating area in this quiet little square is just adorably genuine! This family owned little trattoria is popular amongst locals and tourists alike, so booking a table in advance is strongly recommended! Here in the heart of Trastevere we are very lucky to find such a gem, where the food is as it has been for generations, unchanged by tourism; genuine and delicious. At Da Teo, where Teo himself actually works in the kitchen, you can be sure of that everything you put in your mouth is carefully selected, really well cooked, and seasonal. Let the waiter advise you in the choosing of a wine, but really, you cannot go wrong with either of the Italian reds here. The pasta is cooked to perfection; al dente and with a flavorful sauce, no matter which one you choose. In season the white truffle is to be tried, it is really a delish! The food is as good as if you would be invited to the home of an Italian mother, that cooked for you; amazing in an easily appreciable way! For second course the lamb or oxtail, or why not try the fish or seafood if you prefer something lighter.
