The Titleist TSR1 hybrid features a lightweight design for golfers with moderate swing speeds. High launching with excellent ball speeds. Classy, appealing look. Those that read my review of the TSR2 hybrid [you can find it HERE ] will recall that club went into my bag after an extensive fitting session with Titleist. In the address position, the Titleist TSR1 hybrid has a large, fairway wood presence. Flipping the club over, the clean look of the TSR1 hybrid continues. The highlight of the sole is a simple, yet artistic, silver sliver down the center. I appreciate well executed aesthetic details, and no one does those better than Titleist. As I truly focused on my hands, the feel was relegated to more of a solid pop. And much like the consistency to my ears, there was limited feedback to my hands. By using a slightly longer shaft with a higher balance point , Titleist was able to add additional weight in the head without increasing swing weight. The result is a balanced feel with increased inertia.
Great review.

Made for speed, the TSR1 is ultra-lightweight. Forgiveness is its bright spot and potentially assists golfers with added swing speed. TSR1 is slightly above average for forgiveness, which means its ball speed retention, carry distance consistency, and shot area are noteworthy. Due to its lightweight properties, TSR1 does not perform well for most high-swing golfers. This shows up in its distance and accuracy scores.

The Titleist TSR1 driver is designed for golfers with moderate swing speed. This lightweight driver delivers strong ball speeds and impressive consistency. Wonderful sound and looks. Stunningly simple. A high golf IQ friend next to me on the range actually thought I had a blacked-out prototype. Branding is limited to a small script Titleist on the toe and modest TSR1 at the heel. At address the TSR1 driver has a wonderful round shape with the slightest of toe-centricity.

With his back to me, that friend I mentioned earlier thought I was puring every drive, even while I was toying with tee height. The TSR1 may have joined the family a bit late, but it certainly completes the outstanding portfolio of Titleist drivers. Your email address will not be published. I could be wrong, but thought once my Ventus Velo TR Blue 58g 5S was attached, it would need too much weight adjustment to reach my desired swing weight and player feel. Anytime you have a lightweight shaft like the TSR1 driver has, the head is going to feel a little heavy. Find one and report back on how it feels to you Paul. I had a less than stellar Club Champion fitting in the spring and hesitant to go back although my wife had a really good fitting with same fitter last summer.
