Just washed it in the machine on 30 degrees. Supposed to be handwash didn't check the label, thought I'd washed it in the machine before- clearly not. The filing has gone into little balls. It can't be saved can it? Or can it? Putting something into the dryer with a tennis ball can help redistribute down and help it lie evenly. I'm not sure it will help if it's already clumped though A dryer with something to pummel it, like dryer balls, a couple of clean gym shoes or tennis balls is what usually works, but TBH that looks really bad and I'm not sure if it's recoverable. It wouldn't hurt to try though, it's not as though it can get any more ruined. Thanks both I did wonder about the tumble dryer. I'm SUCH a duffas. I have neither tennis or dryer balls and no trainers suitable for a dryer. Might try it without. Such a handy warmish thing.

That will help it dry more quickly. Should I take it in and put it in the tumble? I have a few down jackets including from Uniglo and I always wash them in the machine at 30 then tumble dry.
