Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power saw eight of the twelve universes compete in a huge battle royale.

Dragon Ball Super 's Universal Survival Saga revolves around the Tournament of Power, which pits eight different universes against one another in a giant battle royale. The winner gets to use the Super Dragon Balls, while all the losers get wiped from existence, so the stakes are high. Each universe gets to select a team of their greatest fighters to enter into the competition. Goku and friends make up the Universe Seven team. It's a pretty formidable group of warriors, but they're certainly not all on the same level in terms of power.

Universe 7 team

Presented by Beerus, Shin, and Whis, these three entities recruit Goku and his closest allies to represent their team in the tournament as Team Universe 7. There is a lot that we know about this team for those familiar with the story, but here are some things you may not know about the team as a whole. Team Universe 7 had only five members when they competed in the Tournament of Destroyers. Goku and Vegeta were chosen by the God of Destruction for being the strongest warriors he has encountered. Both Goku and Vegeta chose the next two spots for their friends while the last one was picked by Beerus. Technically, the group had to compete with four members since Buu failed at the written test for the tournament. Despite the odds of the team, they still managed to beat Team Universe 6. Unlike most of the teams in the tournament, Team Universe 7 happens to be the only one that has all their members connected to Earth. Goku was raised on Earth, so his connection to the planet also counts as him being straight from Earth. The other teams come from different places across their own universes, so seeing that all the strongest warriors come from Earth with Universe 7 is quite unique.

After Tien injures HarmiraHermila blows up the ground beneath them and knocks out Tien, however, Tien's Multi-Forms grabbed Hermila and dragged him off the arena. Vegeta is then defeated by Hitand Goku fights him, but after an intense match, Goku deliberately allows himself to lose. Despite the odds of the team, they still managed to beat Team Universe 6, universe 7 team.

Team Universe 7 is a team presented by Beerus , Shin and Whis with the strongest warriors in Universe 7 in order to participate in the Tournament of Destroyers. Since Majin Buu falls asleep before the tournament, Goku rushes in order to get Frieza as the tenth member of the team. The team is first formed when Beerus and Champa organized a Universe 6 vs. Universe 7 5-on-5 martial arts tournament with the possession of Universe 7's Earth and the Super Dragon Balls as prizes. The team was organized to represent Universe 7. Goku and Vegeta are the team's first members due to them being the strongest warriors Beerus has encountered and Beerus instructs them to recruit two of their friends to participate, leaving the last spot for a member for Beerus to choose. Goku and Vegeta recruit Piccolo into the team.

Dragon Ball Super is quickly coming to the end of the Tournament of Power, with the final showdown set between Universes 7 and With recent Dragon Ball Super spoilers hinting at more losses for Goku's team , it's become a big question how Unvierse 7 can hope to defeat the all-powerful Pride Trooper trio of Dyspo, Toppo, and Jiren. Well, some fans on Reddit have been breaking down the situation, and have come up with one or two ways that Universe 7 can win it all - or at the very least, not lose. Fans have already broken down who is left on the Universe 7 and 11 teams, and have figured out the following the last eliminations leading up to the final match:. The details leading up to the final battle of the Tournament of Power are vague and uncertain, but most fans agree that it will come down to Goku, Vegeta, and Jiren. Even though Vegeta will be severely wounded in his upcoming fight with Jiren , it's suspected that the injury and recovery could help the Saiyan prince finally unlock Ultra Instinct! That would make the final fight a UI tag-team or fusion between Goku and Vegeta to take down Jiren, and secure the win for Universe 7. Again, this is all up in the air, so the details could be different; Goku could end up fighting Jiren alone, with a fully unlocked UI vs. Jiren's full power, which is bigger than that of a God of Destruction.

Universe 7 team

And higher still, above the four Kais and all the rest is the Grand Kai's planet. Universe 7 is linked with Universe 6 , creating a twin universe. Universe 7 also ranks as the second from the bottom on the mortal level scale as a 3. The fighting that took place in the tournament provided Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan with some of the most challenging battles of their lives by allowing them to face off with a number of new characters, such as Jiren, Ribrianne , Dyspo, and more. The battles in the tournament pushed these heroes to new limits.

To which, rather than searching the entire Universe 7 for powerful warriors, Team Universe 7 was instead assembled with warriors who live on Earth and are closest to its two strongest warriors: Goku and Vegeta. The other teams come from different places across their own universes, so seeing that all the strongest warriors come from Earth with Universe 7 is quite unique. In the final battle with Jiren, the mighty Pride Trooper manages to knock Vegeta from the ring but, alongside Goku, is knocked off the arena by Frieza. Gohan does show some intellect in his ability as a fighter, perhaps more so than his father. That being said, in the actual tournament, he makes the absolute most out of his remaining strength and eliminates several tough opponents. Most of the time, he does so by reaching a level of power long thought impossible. Vegeta later defeats three opponents in a row: Frost, Auta Magetta , and Cabba. There are many reasons why Frieza was one of the great Dragon Ball villains , one of which was his unbelievable strength. There were two exceptions however, Android 17 was collected as a team member due to his strength and relation with Android 18 - also meeting Goku for the first time, and the tyrant Frieza was recruited from Hell with help from Fortuneteller Baba due to Majin Buu being unable to participate. That was in the anime but in the manga, both Bulma and Master Roshi thought of Yamcha to be a possible choice to become a member of Team Universe 7. Vegeta and Goten went to Team Universe 6 to even out the playing field between teams. At least, he's still got several of the coolest attacks in the series.
