We like nothing better than to be in our little workshop creating things like this collectable display piece which could be used as an ideal way to represent Uranium if you are building a periodic table of elements collection, or as a lovely, artistic paperweight. We made this piece from raw stock Uranium glass which we source from the Czech Republic; we cut and kiln-fire the pieces. For this piece two pieces of Uranium glass were fused together with a fennel leaf inserted between them. In the kiln the leaf burns away leaving a bubble pattern resulting in a beautifully delicate imprint. We source the leaves from natural fall so no plants are harmed.
