A Stage is the playing field where the player fights off hordes of enemies to survive as long as possible for up to thirty minutes. If the player is able to survive until the stage's time limit, the stage will be considered completed and at that point there will be one The Reaper appearing every minute to slay the player and end their run. Given the stage is completed the player will receive an additional gold coins upon death. Each stage applies modifiers to certain player and enemy stats. Modifiers can affect the player's movement speed, projectile speed, Gold gain and Luck , and enemies' movement speed, health and amount. The base modifiers and mode bonuses stack additively with each other and the total multipliers multiplicatively with stat bonuses from passive items and PowerUps , with the exception of Luck bonus, which stacks additively with player's Luck. All stages have four unlockable, toggleable modes: Hyper , Hurry , Inverse , and Endless mode. The player can also choose whether to enable Arcanas and Limit Break in the stage selection. Multiple modes can be active simultaneously. Hyper mode alters some stage modifiers. Additionally, there can also be modifications to the Luck bonus and enemies' health. The modifiers are dependent on the stage and listed in more detail in the Stage Selection also see table below.
