One of tropes that exists throughout the Dragon Ball mythos, but introduced in Dragon Ball Z , is that two fighters can fuse together to form a new, hybrid individual with vastly augmented power and abilities. That concept is revisited in Dragon Ball Super and its official tie-in film, Broly. Throughout the series, the main characters, Goku and Vegeta, have used two different fusion techniques on separate occasions to create different fused fighters: Vegito and Gogeta. Ever since both characters' debut during DB Z , there has been an ongoing debate among fans as to which fusion of Goku and Vegeta is the more powerful fighter. With Vegito returning during Super to fight Fused Zamasu and Gogeta reappearing in Broly to fight the titular Saiyan warrior, and both characters visibly able to transform into Super Saiyan Blue, the debate has been reinvigorated in earnest. Vegito is formed by Goku and Vegeta each wearing a Potara earring, forcibly drawing the two men together into the fused individual in a brilliant flash of light. While the fusion is permanent for the Kais, it only lasts an hour for mortals.

When Gogeta goes Super Saiyan 4, he easily claims the title of not just the most stylish fusion in the series, but also the most stylish character, period. His wild hair, primal red fur and tail and aesthetically pleasing color scheme are incredible on their own, but his animalistic, yellow eyes seal the deal. This is the look of someone who is ready to rumble and look good doing it. Vegito, on the other hand, is not. That's not a world we'd like to live in! Wielding the combined and magnified strength of both Goku and Vegeta, Gogeta is an incredibly deadly warrior, and like his Potara counterpart Vegito , he is regarded as one of the most powerful characters in the entire Dragon Ball franchise. As for strength, it is debatable, but most generally concur that they are of similar if not the same strength since they are both made up of the same people, and both characters were at least one point in time called a Superior fusion.
