Tonight will be windy, with gusts over 40 mph possible. This will result in scattered to possibly numerous power outages in the higher elevations. Snowfall of 6 or more inches is likely in the mountains overnight, making for slippery travel. Morning heavy, wet snow on Sunday will taper to showers and mountain snow showers as we get into a bit of a lull. Highs on Sunday will be in the upper 30s to low 40s.

We will finally get out of that unsettled weather pattern that we have been in all week long. The slow-moving, upper-level low pressure system that has been hitting us with all of those on-and-off showers is finally moving off to the east, being replaced by high pressure. That high will clear out the skies today after some morning cloudiness, so the sun will finally return.
