The freeway is split into two carriageways in each direction with direct through lanes, and lanes for freeway exits. All outbound lanes between Millers Road and the M80 interchange will take you to Ballarat and Geelong. Drivers can take any lane to exit at Williamstown Road but the left lanes will be an easier journey. Whether you are travelling from the M80 or Princes Freeway, all inbound lanes will take drivers to the West Gate Bridge. Make sure you follow the permanent green overhead signs on the lanes you are travelling - choose your lane early and avoid last minute lane changes.
