CD Projekt affirms that they did contact and reimburse the HD Monsters Reworked creator for their mod and that this creator confirmed to the studio that they were "the sole author of the mod in question. CDPR also states that, regardless of this recent development, it is committed to removing these textures from the game, not to make any statement against nudity or mature themes, but to "maintain visual coherence across all character models. Kotaku first reported that another unexpected change came with this next-gen update, detailed genitalia textures on certain female characters.
