Sign In. Wok of Love Hide Spoilers. First off I have to admit I'm a serious fangirl of Junho, but even though I'm slightly biased, this was a very good show with lots of twists, turns, drama, laughter, food and just plain good fun. My only criticism is that they suddenly forgot the horse for about 10 episodes seriously one of the best characters and a few differing dishes would have been nice, but all in all it was a great show and i'll totally recommend it, even if you're not a JH fangirl like me. Was this review helpful? Sign in to vote. Seo Poong Lee Jun-Ho worked hard to become a star chef and the hotel restaurant has raised the status of the entire hotel. He is on the verge of marrying the daughter of his deceased mentor not only because he loves her but to fulfill a promise to take care of her. He is also receiving recognition for his skill and anticioates a promotion.

He blows me away every time. In regards to the Finishing Touch kitchen staff, we have to talk a bit about Chef Wang. Instead they started conjuring up all these bribes and unfair ways to cheat Poong out of customers, it was really low, wok of love reviews.

Many moons ago, when I was in college, I picked as many film courses as I was allowed, coz they were the coolest, and also, the funnest, and therefore, I got to watch a whole lot of movies as part of my curriculum. Film really was the coolest and the funnest, heh. Especially when we got to the part on animation and sat around watching cartoons together. Kinda the same thing with this show, for me, methinks. For the record, I watched 11 episodes of this show before calling it quits. Also for the record, I actually struggled with my watch from the get-go. Right away in episode 1, I found myself not jiving very well at all, with what Show was serving up.

Wok of love reviews

These Koreans very well know how to promote their food and culture through dramas. They are always eating noodles which make me crave noodles all the time. Anyway, before I get to the review I want to inform you that I have speed watched this show. My drama advisers or buddies advised me against this drama. But for some reason, I was very curious about it. I saw a few snippets of Wok of Love on YouTube which made me even more interested in it.

All is not well, however and he is ousted from his prestigious job by the unscrupulous management. Other than that, this one is a boring drama easily dropped. I really like the chemistry between the lead characters. Basically the entire Giant Hotel-affiliated body of characters were frustratingly childish in their attempts to get back at Poong, and I really found myself grinding my teeth on several occasions. Yep, that sounded so weird that I felt I had to put a screencap in there, just to show that this really happened on my screen. He eventually meets and becomes involved with the FL who is in reduced circumstances due to her wealthy father being framed. The problem or my problem is not with the characters themselves, but the way the plot develops and the way the characters are introduced and the really messy messy atmosphere we were thrown in. Korean drama series. Looks like we are very much on the same page with this drama, Timescout!! Now for what I disliked - the second half of the show is immensely better than the first.

The only thing I did not like was there was some loose ends. Anyways, I just found Sae Woo very hard to gauge. In any case, Park Ji Young is always a nice familiar face in K-Dramas and it was nice to see her and Lee Mi Sook act together again, as they also acted closely together in Jealousy Incarnate. Because of them I continue to watch the third, fourth, fifth and sixth episode, this is why I intend not to be so harsh in my review. Cool - Jang Hyuk. Aw and just when I was getting really immersed too! And lastly, the FL's mother is absolutely intolerable. I still love you. Details Edit. You all did a great job! Things that were initially made out to be plot- or character-defining kind of disappeared throughout the story here and there, while some other things were retained, for example the fortune cookie reference, so I found it a bit inconsistent at times.
