Instead of going through with the lie about Paige being her cousin when the cop pulls them over, Missy immediately panics and tells the truth. While she may be a rebellious teen, she's still just a year-old kid. Tourist Bump : Discussed In-Universe. To be fair, Missy and Paige considered going there, but since they had already driven five hours east, they kept going that way.
