A great place for after work drinks but would be a shame if you left before having a bite. While the base was sauceless, the pie was still so flavourful from the herb and garlic base, tons of arugula, bright cherry tomatoes, and a ball of cool creamy burrata that went so nicely with the crispy hot dough. How do we get this special to be on the permanent menu? We were surprised by the generous portion of six tablespoon sized shrimp that topped the dish, more than enough to go around while sharing. The small dollops of ricotta were a nice touch, but there needed to be more of it. For spaghetti this is the case, as I found the fresh version too doughy and soft. Interestingly, Za uses a spicy tomato white wine sauce with the seafood spaghetti.

Generally a fan of the marinara and I add mushrooms. Their bianca pizzas are great too. Good aperol spritz. Great staff. Za Cafe Pizzeria and Bar is where to find Neapolitan-style pizza in the heart of Toronto, and they're not afraid to get creative when it comes to toppings. The restaurant is the second location with another spot in Mississauga geared toward takeout. The four longtime friends and owners wanted to open the storefront on Bay Street to offer more of a dine-in experience. Accented with splashes of black, white and burgundy with leather booths lining the walls and an open kitchen concept for a clear view of the stone oven, it's a stylish space that seems to fit right in with the surrounding neighbourhood. Two of the owners, Rav and Rubin, who met each other while cooking at a pizzeria, cook up the pizzas, which they've been experimenting with and perfecting in Mississauga since With the dough prepared and aged for three to five days in-house and the tomato sauce from their own recipe as well, each fast-fire'd pizza is cooked in just 90 seconds in the dome-shaped oven.

Hours : Bay St. Creamy chicken pasta - the texture of the pasta was great, however it came with too little sauce so some portion of the pasta tasted bland. Hope there can be more sauce and toppings to give more flavour to the dish. February I hosted a private event here for my team and we had an amazing time. The whole team at Za was super accommodating, food was delicious, service was great and they were on top of everything! The fig pizza was definitely a highlight - we all can't wait to be back!
