Born an only child in a small town, Zoey is an optimistic, kind-hearted girl who is easy to get along with but did not have many friends until she joined Total Drama. She considers herself vastly different from the people she knows in her home town, and joined Total Drama to meet friends who share her love of indie theatre and retro clothing. On many occasions , Zoey is shown to be apologetic and overly concerned with how others perceive her. Her trusting nature and need for approval can lead her to be easily fooled by people with bad intentions. On the other hand, if she is pushed enough, Zoey may take on a darker persona who is brave, revenge-driven, and highly skilled. Zoey is extremely protective of her friends and her boyfriend Mike , whom she falls in love with even with the knowledge of his multiple personalities. Zoey makes her first confessional, talking about how she'll get along with all the other contestants. Zoey makes her debut in Bigger! In her first confessional , Zoey mentions that she is a big fan of Total Drama and hopes to make new friends. When she arrived on the island, she has a conversation with Dawn who is able to know that Zoey is an only child, who has an extremely lonely life. She is put on the Mutant Maggots , along with Mike, and they quickly start to bond. For several episodes, the two of them would get along well but despite their growing attraction, Mike is afraid that Zoey will think of him differently if she finds out about his secret. Tension forms between her, Anne Maria, and Mike in the next episode as Anne Maria keeps accusing Zoey of attempting to throw their team's challenge.

Zoey is a pale girl with brick red hair. She normally wears a red crop top, khaki capri pants, a choker and wedges. Her red hair is usually tied up into two low pigtails and she wears a flower in her hair. When she turns "commando", she wears a ripped red bandana, and has warpaint on her cheeks. In " Bigger! In the second part of the challenge, Zoey is paired up against B for the obstacle course. Eliminated from Total Drama: Revenge of the Island. Scott then tells her that he is the only one on the team that can be trusted, which plants seeds of doubt of Mike's trustworthiness in her head. Zoey then kept her promise to vote off Alejandro. Zoey yells to him to cross the finish line, but the Villainous Vultures already won. Mike tells Zoey about his disorder, and Zoey forgives him. Tension forms between her, Anne Maria, and Mike in the next episode as Anne Maria keeps accusing Zoey of attempting to throw their team's challenge. She is supporting Cameron by holding his arm around her shoulder, when she is attacked by one of Ezekiel's mutant gophers. Zoey and Gwen use Cameron's bubble as a boat to cross the Toxic River. Zoey believes Scott when he "hears" something under the ground, and digs there with the rest of her team. Zoey is soon horrified by Gwen's disqualification, and later bids her farewell respectively. Before the challenge started, Zoey whispered to Cameron that she saw Mike trip him.

After some thoughts to herself, Zoey decided to eliminate Scott, despite taking his protests into consideration about Mal's presence, and take Mike into the finale with her despite knowing who he is due to a promise.
