December 18th, After troubleless operation of my XPS 15 for 5 years, it has begun showing problems. It all started when the charging port on the laptop had a bent pin inside, and i had to straighten the pin for the charger to fit correctly inside. Then the laptop ran without problems for a week. Then, one fine day while working on the laptop, it suddenly turned off. No matter what kind of reset i did, it didn't help. Then i disconnected the battery, which let me at least boot the system up. But before booting, it threw an error saying AC adaptor is not recognizable and hence battery doesn't charge. I tried charging the laptop with other charger also from Dell , which didnt help too, showed me the same error. Then expecting it to be a battery problem, i connected a new original Dell battery. This helped me switching on the system just with the battery, but when i connected the charger, it showed me the error saying AC adaptor not recognizable, hence battery not chargeable. Now im working on it without any battery, and it constantly blinks 1 white and 3 amber lights. The system without the battery is unbelievably slow. Can somebody help me here?
