Barney's Uptown provides a place to eat and grab a drink in a smoker-friendly environment. Located across the street from their famous namesake and a branch of the well-known coffee shop. Barney's Uptown boasts the same logo as the cannabis shop, with a more chic and sophisticated feel. They serve a champagne breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, beer, cocktails, and exclusive wine. Add in a bit of their relaxing music and drop in for a lunch with friends, or an evening out. There are DJs and hosts most nights and on Thursdays, ladies' get half priced wine and cocktails from 7pm on.

Light bounced off the stark white fixtures that once held tubes of luxury lipstick and antiaging potions as fluorescent track lighting flickered along a mirrored wall where perfume bottles had been displayed like prized whiskies. What was once at the cutting edge of fashion, entertainment and consumption has quickly been rendered as a time capsule from grander, off-line times. Fashion publicists, luxury retail store managers and design students made their final pilgrimages to the store, rubbing shoulders at any given hour with Chinese resellers, self-described eBay connoisseurs, Russian tourists and a revolving door of rumpled types seeking out a deal during their lunch breaks from banking offices nearby. Where the store went wrong has been well documented. It was a clubhouse for creative minds and wealthy aesthetes in the days when shoppers had to visit a store to see what was in stock.

Well the music is good, you can sit in near the window and watch the show outside while drinking beer, the frites are excellent, and after a half a Brilliant service. Amazing food I had a full English. Milkshakes are made with fresh strawberries. I never had one but others cocktails had fresh fruit and looked amazing. We always visit on or holiday to Amsterdam.
