Oltanya 5 years ago 4 I don't see the "obvious reasons" Indestructible re: combat just means that lethal damage doesn't destroy it, it doesn't change the definition of lethal damage, and deathtouch says that lethal damage is always 1. When that happens, you need a plan that lets you win without getting rid of the indestructible creature. Maybe your deck is red or green, and the only creature removal you have relies on damage. How can you say, "well, your guy was in the way but somehow my guy ran around it and got through to you, but it still tried to hit your guy on the way there even though your guy cannot be physically harmed by my guy. This is sort of a rules hack. I believe you are right. Now add protection and trample. Next turn you can swing for the win. If the creature you eliminate has a lot of power and toughness like, say, Impervious Greatwurm , your opponent is going to be in a lot of trouble. Thankfully, no.
