This is a list of equippable items in EarthBound. There are a total of four different slots on the equipment subscreen, where items with different properties are displayed when equipped by a character. The different types of items that are displayed in the slots are weapon, body, arms and other. If Poo equips any equipment other than his signature equipment, his stats are lowered rather than raised. Every weapon increases the user's Offense when equipped. All four of the main party members have a type of weapon that only they are able to utilize, being Baseball bats for Ness , Frying pans for Paula , Guns for Jeff and a single, rare sword for Poo.

While it can get a bit wacky and bizarre at times, Earthbound features some pretty standard RPG mechanics. Like most role-playing games, your party members all acquire and equip various weapons and gear that affect their offense, defense, and other stats. The only exception to this is Poo , whose stats actually decrease if you try to equip anything on him that isn't specifically made for him. For whatever reason, some of the rarest or hardest-to-find items in all of Earthbound belong to Poo. This is the only weapon that Poo can equip effectively. While you can give him yo-yos or slingshots, those will reduce his attack power.
This is a list of items from EarthBound. These items can only be used once and then they disappear. There are many different kinds of disposable items. Food can be found in all towns, in drugstores, burger shops, pizza shops or restaurants. They often vary a lot in description. Following EarthBound ' s humor, some contain very long descriptions that are primarily to amuse the reader. It should be noted that these numbers reflect the HP recovered for every character but Poo , who will recover only about 6 HP, because of his strict diet.

It also has other uses This item can be rather difficult to obtain since there are very strong enemies like Chompasaurs and Ego Orbs that can annihilate your team. Description: Broiled lamb's liver, etc. If you can afford it, buy them for the person without the Mr. Defense spray. Signed Banana. Gives a nice boost to offense and it's free too! Description: If you drink this, you recover about 6 HP. Still a useful item to hold on to. Weapons 5a. Transforms into Shield Killer.
