I had to take a break from here for a little while, as you can imagine with the state of the world over the last year it was very busy. But as things have been slowly improving I'm getting back into modelling again. I started by customizing a spare LaFerrari I had into an Aperta. Since I was already going to glue the doors sealed shut, I thought I'd try my hand at trying to angle the door hinges so the doors could open. It took a while and was a slow process because it felt like the hinge would snap off with too much pressure but in the end I found a way to make it work. I also wanted to keep the windows and once the door hinges were done, the doors at the B pillar and body needed some fine tuning for the windows to sit without any issues. I don't have a dremel, which means everything was done with a hacksaw and metal files. I also didn't make the door vents yet. After looking at multiple pictures, the door vents cut away part of the body and the door, but the vents are attached to the body. When I bought my model it was pretty neglected with broken pieces, glue damage on the paint and heavy dust all over the interior and it needs a repaint.

Hope their Signature series can further close the gap of differences.

I feel that Ferrari has done a nice thing for young collectors but for adult collectors looking for something that looks like it belongs in a well thought out collection, Bbuargo needs to offer something better and I do not care to watch them struggle for a year or 2 while the , Cali T, and whatever else just get neglected.
