Fort Oglethorpe is making plans for a dog park after a community survey found many residents support the idea. The survey was conducted from mid-November through the end of December, and it asked residents to weigh in on building of a dog park at Van Cleve Street and Patterson Avenue. It will soon become home to a byfoot fenced-in area with separate spaces for large and small dogs, along with benches, shady trees and lighting. When asked if they would be willing to purchase plaques to help pay for the park, well over half of the survey respondents said they would reach into their own pockets for the project.
