Grim dawn best soldier build
Soldier is a mastery in Grim Dawn that focuses on direct physical destruction of the enemy. Other Soldier skills improve their survivability and even that of their allies. Soldiers of the imperial army were trained to survive in the most hellish conditions and hold the line against the nastiest enemies of the empire.
Current master of the ARPG throne — especially for fans of grimdark fantasy and horror — Grim Dawn is about to get a major update with a whole new mastery class to play. Before that highly anticipated Necromancer becomes available though, there are still dozens of potential mastery combo builds to try out. There are plenty of mastery combos that can deal ungodly amounts of damage the Nightblade mixed with just about anything immediately comes to mind but they are also quite squishy, making it difficult to survive after you leave Normal difficulty behind and head into later stages of the game. The focus here is on high health, massive defense, quick regeneration, and equipping absolutely any item with reflection or retaliation so you never go down and always take out enemies when they hit you. First up, grab Devouring Swarm on the Shaman side as your primary attack at low levels this is costly on energy, but well worth it. This is the skill that keeps you alive for longer periods. When it triggers, get out of the throng of enemies and wait to recover so the cooldown period ends.

Soldiers, veterans of the imperial army now scattered across the world of Cairn, are the hardened survivors of human conflict and bloodshed. They now hold the line against the deadliest enemies of humanity. Soldiers prefer the use of close combat weaponry and excel at using a shield, but can prove formidable with firearms. What a soldier may lack in dealing out damage is more than made up for with their resilience and fortitude. Soldiers readily charge into the carnage and unleash crushing might upon their foes. Their physical prowess is unmatched and their ability to survive through the most brutal conflicts makes them an excellent choice for defense-oriented players. Soldiers have the highest health and physique of all Masteries, making them inherently tough to kill. Through a selection of active and passive skills which enhance their survivability, Soldiers are right at home where the battle is harshest. Soldiers crush the opposition with close-ranged physical attacks that leave enemies bleeding out, if they even survive the initial onslaught. Powerful blows leave enemies stunned or even flying off their feet. When used as your default weapon attack, Cadence will magnify the power of every 3rd strike. This attack requires a shield or two-handed melee weapon.

Today I would like to share my single mastery soldier build with you and tell you my thoughts about the solider class in general. Soldier was the first ever class that I have tried in Grim Dawn. That was a painfull experience, killing one enemy at a time, I can assure you! A lot of time has passed since then and now I return to that very mastery that opened Grim Dawn for me to put it through the ultimate challenge! For this build I have chosen to use Warborn Bastion set, because, in my opinion, it has the best single target damage of all the physical soldier sets. The chosen relic is Deathstalker. Doom might have been usefull, but pure Soldier needs as much rr as he can get. There is a little chaos resistance problem but Bloodbound Ointment can help with this. Crucible buffs also cover this up. Cadance - our primary LMB attack.

It is very good idea to show generic leveling of mastery as you did here. Just try different things and see what you like. So should I be pure soldier or is this one of those games where it's better to pick and choose some from different classes? As a hardcore player I focus on defense - I put 6 points in Menhir's Will for the security and I have multiple Bristly Furs in my armor for the Constitution boost - which makes me a lot harder to kill. He also writes for PortalMonkey covering gaming laptops and peripherals. I have chosen to go monoclass, specifically to allow you the greatest freedoms regarding endgame builds, so as not to lock you in, as Soldier has some of the most versatile class combos in the game, capable of all styles of play. I am just learning as I go and this is what is working for me. The only thing I'm committed to is that I want to play a melee character. Retreating is important in tough fights. Hey guys, This is the first in a series of builds that I will be posting, that try to cut away some of the confusion regarding leveling guides.
Necromancer Skills. There is too much focus on the endgame and not enough on the journey, which is why I intentionally omitted the endgame from the focus until the very end. I hope all of you do too! Btw I still prefer fleshwarped casque over that MI helm for less sprit invested and higher up time on war cry. You should pick a second class, that's the best you can do. The only thing I'm committed to is that I want to play a melee character. What a Soldier may lack in outright damage output is made up for in fortitude and leadership. This is the skill that keeps you alive for longer periods. Other Soldier skills improve their survivability and even that of their allies. What would you recommend?
