I walk often with my camera taking it all in and hannah nunn to figure out how to express what I see in my work. My studio is home to my incredible laser cutting machine which I use to cut all the motifs for my lamps and other paper pieces, hannah nunn.
Hannah honed her skills by sketching and drawing in the fields and woodland near her home, before launching her first product range — beautiful paper cut greetings cards. The success of the cards sold in Libertys and Harrods among others provided further inspiration and lead Hannah to develop and launch her range of much loved lamps which she sells around the world. The designs are as striking as they are delicate, lending themselves perfectly for printing onto our popular Frostbrite frosted film. For Hannah, it brings her work full circle - her lamp designs are about simple motifs in silhouette being brought to life by light. Her wallpapers are about these simple motifs in flowing repeat. But window film brings the two together — pattern and illumination.

I literally just bought the magazine this morning, did my usual quick flick but had to stop at your piece - the light covers are completely gorgeous! I love the flower designs, simple but elegant and a little bit wistful, just lovely! Congratulations Hannah! What a lovely feature article with gorgeous pictures. I love the idea of closing the cylinder with hand stitching.

About 24 years ago I was holding some paper cuts up to the light to enjoy the silhouettes they made and I had an 'aha' moment. I'm very excited to say that all these years later these lamps are creating cosy corners in homes all over the world and that they have been the making of my career as an artist. This was the start of my adventures. The lamps led me to open a shop, write a book , exhibit all over and be part of a community of artists and makers navigating the boom of the growing internet. The best thing of all though is that my art allows my love of nature and making things to be at the heart of everything I do.
