Lux sensor zigbee
Anyone got any recommendations for a zigbee lux sensor that I could use to better control lighting on overcast winter days?
Is there any nice lux reading sensor for outdoors? I have a weather station that have almost everything but one thing it does not have is read how bright it is outside. I was thinking it can be fun to read Lux and maybe even UV. I have Mhz,Zigbee,Z-wave and wifi connect to my Home assistant. This gives a decent lux reading.

As the title says. Are there any budget light lux sensors about 20 - 25 euros preferably zigbee that work locally on smartthings? The only lux sensor I know of that might have a local operation is the Sensative zwave strip. So not local at this time. The Aqara light sensor and the hue multi sensor are other zigbee multi sensors that work with smartthings, but also require custom code. An option… which I have used but not presently, is a basic external lux sensor, smart plug and an external led 10w light wired in. Lux meter trips at 70 lux, power sense smart plug detects current draw, you will need the led light wired into the lux sensor so power can be drawn. Just to be sure on this. Lux and light sensor is the same thing right?. So when you buy a lamp, the manufacturer will list how many lumens it gives off. Dark, cloudy day: 1, lux, or 20 micromoles per second per sq meter Indirect daylight: 10, lux, or micromoles per second per sq meter Direct daylight: , lux, or 2, micromoles per second per sq meter. Btw they said that 2 months ago we would get some real transparency for whats to follow but after 2 months and still nothing. Photographic subjects that JD could easily elaborate on… at great length. I would look into Tuya on Aliexpress.
I cannot say for sure, but this light sensor might be one if you want to give it a shot. But there is an integrated temperature sensor, and an integrated lux sensor, lux sensor zigbee, which Hue calls their "dawn to dusk" sensor.
I am looking for zigbee light sensors. I don't care of there are other sensors attached but light lux is required. I've found a number of posts here in the community forums but the sensors that I've tried to find seem to not be around anymore. The only current name brand Zigbee sensor I'm aware of that includes Lux are both the indoor and outdoor Philips Hue motion sensors. It does have some limitations on lux reporting frequency 5 minutes, not adjustable , but they are dependable and accurate.
I am looking for a comparison of the various motion sensor products available for Zigbee networks. I am already using some Aqara, Xiaomi and Tradfri motion sensors. Since I want to equip every room with a sensor now, I am looking into the various options available on the market. Since I am using zigbee2mqtt, I checked their supported devices:. They already list 43 compatible devices. Would it be great to have some feature comparison?

How do I get a hold of that attribute? I use a deCONZ integration and for my motion sensors HA creates a binary sensor for motion and two sensors for luminance and battery. I use the Xiaomi Hub to connect the sensor. Perhaps it is not possible to get the light reading from that integration? I know the sensor can do it because I see the attribute in Xiaomi App. I have a similar configuration, with Xiaomi Gateway and Aqara motion sensors.

Two are used as night light sensors, to turn on some lights dimly at night for several minutes. Download the SmartThings App. New issue. JimT jimtng December 12, , pm 5. Some related info…. JD, I just looked through everything and Nope… I assumed there was. I will run them with conbee stick and deconz binding I hope this will work! I have a weather station that have almost everything but one thing it does not have is read how bright it is outside. These motion sensors can also be added directly to ST and also get the lux value. RF to communicate with the inside base unit. That means for you the illuminance sensor is working properly.
Anyone have any recommendations?
I average their value to set my day and evening modes. This is a great project for kids! Budget lux sensor that works locally EU? I have Mhz,Zigbee,Z-wave and wifi connect to my Home assistant. Outdoor-rated, for sure, and not subject to any mesh network oddities that may haunt an outdoor sensor if it's far from your hub. Budget lux sensor that works locally EU? I just put in a couple of Hue outdoor motion sensors. You can select from the power sources, sizes, and even applications. I just started using these - have 2 but have paired 1 so far. That is then connected to my Wi-Fi network, and I'm using one of their new firmware options to push this to a device on Hubitat with a custom driver I wrote to parse this data. Opening in a new tab works. So I suppose that would be my 5 lux threshold.
Yes, really. I join told all above.
Your idea is brilliant
I confirm. And I have faced it.
