Housed within Tiger Lane is the restaurant Mrs Wang, the largest of the precinct. Mrs Wang is an expression of the ever-evolving Chinese food culture created in Australia. Vibrant flavours of China are bought to life with modern Chinese cooking techniques and fresh Australian produce. If you're of a certain age, some of your earliest food memories are bound to revolve - perhaps literally - around a lazy Susan at your local Chinese restaurant. Login or signup to continue reading. Who doesn't remember vibrant sweet and sour pork, the stickiness of honey prawns, the tart sweetness of boneless lemon chicken? In a time of meat and three veg, a trip to your local Chinese restaurant, even a simple Friday night takeaway, would transport you to some foreign land. Tonight we're being transported to Shanghai, circa Mrs Wang is an elegant corner of the Tiger Lane precinct, an oasis from the hyper-busy neon collection of eateries serving fried chicken and fairy floss. The decor reflects an art deco style. There's a choice of small and large tables and yes, some have a proper lazy Susan , banquette and booth seating, with mirrored walls and gold and brown accents all adding a touch of class. And so too is the menu. But it's been a long time since I ordered a la carte, and we want to revisit some old favourites and see how the kitchen has elevated the familiar.

Inspired by people, places and food found along the Mekong Delta of Thailand, Supalove is everything you love about Thai cuisine, especially Bangkok. Best of all, its fresh, fast, affordable and cooked with a lot of Thai love, under the guise of Head Chef, Grace Prasongsook, an expert in Thai cuisine with Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese roots. Standout menu options include the olive fried rice — a Bangkok speciality which uses preserved black olives and fresh olives stir fried into fried rice with egg and a side of fresh chilli, Thai herbs and peanuts.
