A well-marked, but challenging trail that takes in some spectacular viewpoints in the Grampians. This 10km trail leads you up to some spectacular lookouts in the Grampians. The trail is well-marked, and popular for walkers and hikers alike. While it gets busy, it is possible to find quieter spots on the trail. This hiking trail takes place within the Grampians National Park, which covers a vast area in western Victoria. This mountainous park has been carved out of ancient volcanic eruptions, with peaks steeped in history and mystery.

Mt Stapylton is a popular walking and hiking trail for those visiting the Grampians. Located on the north-west edges of the Grampians National Park , the hike covers a 4-kilometre distance return and is considered moderate in difficulty. Start your walk at the Mount Zero Picnic Ground and follow the signage. You will be rewarded along the way with rocky outcrops, fern gullies, eucalyptus trees and the beautiful naturally occurring Stapylton amphitheatre. You will need to scramble a few rocks to reach the summit, but once at the top, you will be rewarded with magnificent views. Bring a picnic lunch and relax at the summit before retracing your steps back down to the Mt.

Venecia B. Zero Picnic Car Park then headed straight up the rocky terrain steep hill and it took me around 45 minutes to get to Mt. Wonderful experience.

Challenging in parts particularly if you climb to the summit. We started at Mt Zero carpark and took the left turn at the start of the loop. The weather changes very quickly up on the top. We walked the loop clockwise and whilst a steep start, it was spectacular. Lots of wildflowers walking up the top and great views coming down the escarpment. Well marked trail with steep section with great view at the top.
