Olyvar frey
When Catelyn negotiates with Lord Frey to gain permission for Robb and his army to pass the Twins , one of Walder's demands is for his son Olyvar be made Robb's squire, and eventually be knighted. Robb accepts these terms. Unless he died sometime during the War of the Five Kings , Olyvar is supposedly murdered , along with his other male family members, by Arya , as a payback for the Red Wedding. His three older brothers are Perwyn, Benfrey, Willamen, and his younger sister is Roslin. He is two years older than Robb, although he is very immature compared to Robb. He takes part in the battle in the Whispering Wood. When Robb breaks his marriage pact with House Frey , Olyvar wants to remain with him, but is forced by Ryman Stevron 's eldest son to abandon Robb. Olyvar, alongside his brother Perwyn and nephew Alesander, are kept in the dark about Lord Frey's plan to betray and kill Robb at the Red Wedding. Apparently it was suspected that the three of them were too loyal to Robb, and would try to warn him or even to defend him when the ambush commenced, so they are sent away from the Twins "on duty". Catelyn and Robb ask about the absence of those three Freys, but receive only evasive answers.

House Frey "We Stand Together. A noble house of the Riverlands, and probably the Tullys' most important vassal, though they are less than scrupulous in discharging their feudal obligations to their nominal overlord, and often ignore their duties in service of their own interests. Their castle s is known as the Twins, a very strategic bridge-fortress across the Green Fork tributary of the River Trident. Near everyone in the Riverlands despises them for their role in the Red Wedding in addition to their disastrous lordship over the Riverlands which has yet to recover from being ravaged by the war, and they are treated as an afterthought at best in King's Landing. By Season 6, Brynden the Blackfish has retaken Riverrun for the Tullys, the other Riverland houses are taking up arms in revolt, and the smallfolk are being coaxed into rebellion by the Brotherhood Without Banners, forcing Walder to plead with the already depleted Lannisters for support in quelling the uprising. Adaptational Attractiveness : In the books, the Frey gene usually leads to Royally Screwed Up facial features, skin conditions and disproportional physiques with a few lucky exceptions. The named Freys in the series are at worst plain people in ridiculously unflattering outfits. Adaptational Wimp : They are as a rule a bunch of incompetent and resentful weasels in the book but by adapting out all the more cunning Frey and wimpifying the remaining one it's even more blatant in the show.

Game of Thrones mainly focuses on the struggle between the major houses of Westeros that rule each region. These houses are the heads of the nine major regions the Seven Kingdoms, the Riverlands, and the Crownlands and they are all served by smaller houses in each area. The A Song of Ice and Fire novels go to great lengths to detail the minor houses and their histories. Game of Thrones doesn't have the time to do this, so the show only focuses on the houses that have a role in the story, such as the Boltons and the Cleganes. House Frey is one of the most powerful minor houses in Westeros. They are also looked down upon by the other noble houses, due to the fact that they acquired power through wealth, rather than winning battles.
