Every problem has a solution and more often than not, that solution is ice cream. One spoonful of our carefully crafted confections triggers the ultimate release. Two will save the day. Ice cream is love and love is all you need. Parachute was created by a couple of local entrepreneurs who thought it would be a great idea to make good quality delicious ice cream. We proudly make all our ice cream on site. Even things like the brownies that go in the Brown Butter Brownie Ice Cream, the rhubarb compote and crumble for the Rhubarb Crumble ice cream, and the fresh hand chopped mint for the Mint Dark Chocolate.

Her shop features a lemon-cream and vanilla-bean ice cream made with water buffalo milk from the McClintock farm in Comox and driven down to Victoria by the farmer each week. They also feature coconut milk vegan ice creams, using locally distilled vanilla, roasted espresso and seasonal fruits. All other ice cream is made with dairy from the Cowichan Valley and Saanich Peninsula. Parachute Ice Cream opened in late May among the burgeoning breweries and coffee roasters of Rock Bay and as the beacon of another food trend on the rise in Victoria. Parachute is a second business for both Larocque and Fung. They met a few years ago through a common friend.
