Andros sneaked onto the Dark Fortress in hopes of freeing his sister, while the rest of the Rangers battled the remaining forces, with help from the civilians.

Overall, PRIS is worthy of praise, and one of the few Power Ranger seasons that can actually be taken seriously with a straight face.

The season concludes the narrative established towards the end of Power Rangers Turbo and concludes the six-year long Zordon Era , ending the practice of a continuous serial-style show with a regular cast that carried over from one season to the next. In the season, the former Turbo Rangers leave Earth behind to chase after Divatox into space, where they meet Andros and come into conflict with the United Alliance of Evil. Due to the show's major success, the franchise continued with Power Rangers Lost Galaxy the following year. A great deal of the budget would be spent creating cheap green screen space footage for the Zords traveling in space as well as shooting new fight scenes with the Space Rangers which were tinted a different color for broadcast so as to create the appearance of the battles taking place on alien worlds. The Phantom Ranger whose identity was never revealed in Turbo was also brought back for a multi-episode arc, but plans to reveal his identity fell through due to budget problems and forced Lynn to cut the episode where his identity was to be revealed.
