Updated: Jul 27, Everyone got excited - then nothing happened. Well - a lot happened. COVID happened. A run on guns happened as all time high NICS checks happened month after month. This lead to a shortage in Glock parts as everyone tried to stock up.

Most of the ammo used was Wolf steel cased 9mm gr, with some brass Magtech gr and some Federal HST gr hollowpoints. And to be completely honest, this was pretty much exactly what I was expecting. The Glock 19 is pretty much what made Glock the standard for reliable concealed carry pistols, so a clone of it could be reasonably expected to be Dead Nuts Reliable too. The gun was never cleaned or lubed after that. The lip at the bottom of the magwell tucks in my pinky finger while gripping the gun with my shooting hand. This is fine or even optimal for someone with medium sized hands like me, but if you have larger mitts, this might be a deal breaker for you. The magazine release is better than the Glock 19 Gen 3, but not as good as the Gen 4 or Gen 5. I will guess most of my readers who own a Glock have one of the latter, so the release may take a small adjustment to get used to. Like the Gen 3 and 4 and unlike the 5, it is not ambidextrous. The grip, in my opinion, is better than any Glock.
It definitely gives the gun a higher end look on such a fine detail.

The Dagger works with standard Glock parts and pieces and is compatible with Glock Gen 3 parts. Just like the Gen 3, it also has slide rails that help the slide move back and forth smoothly. Palmetto State Armory is well known for its low prices, and the Dagger is priced to move. The base model sells for dollars, which, in my opinion, is a very reasonable price. Regardless, they are a good deal cheaper than Glock brand Glocks and promise the same simplicity and reliability as the Glock pistols. PSA went all out to equip the Dagger with a ton of features and lots of modern flair.

At some point - someone had to figure it out how to come to market for less. Then once you have more money, you can still use those accessories once you graduate to a True Blue Glock, should you decide to remain in that ecosystem. I appreciate the understated slide work on the gun - they didn't hog out a bunch of steel making the recoil impulse be a lot snappier - they kept it truer to Glock spec and the result is a gun that's very controllable due to the improved grip and trigger. The combination of the enhanced geometry of the grip with the broad trigger make for a shooting experience that is far, far better to work with. The Glock 19 is pretty much what made Glock the standard for reliable concealed carry pistols, so a clone of it could be reasonably expected to be Dead Nuts Reliable too.
