This carbine is light, trim, accurate, and fun. That is why I picked it for informal target shooting and home defense. It is my bedside rifle, and I sleep like a baby knowing it is nearby.

That said even thou the big loop looks cool its slower and not very good for our game. There is a slew of 73's and 66's. If an oversized lever had any advantage, you can know for sure that alot of folks would be using it. Now, I can't speak ill of the Rossi because there is an excellent gunsmith, Nate Kiowa Jones, who can slick em up royally. But, its not that hard to find a 'JM' brand Marlin in. Go to a match and try a uberti 73 and 66, marlin and a 92 see which feels right for you if you do go the 92 route you really want to get a good smith to slick it up.
Stainless match perfectly. Best to use a professional gunsmith if you are not comfortable doing tear down it is a very detailed procedure plus you can has your gunsmith do some slicking up of bolt and work on the trigger pull. I have big hands this is so nice on the gun now I can wear gloves plus it looks so nice plus their shipping was so fast only took three days to get if I need anything else I will definitely shop at shop Rossi again thank s. It fit and functioned perfectly once I installed it properly. I first thought it didn't fit, but it was pilot error. There is a pin under an access screw that must be fully seated, which was a little harder than I thought.

The only way i know to improve upon it, Rossi quality--as expected. Install not for a beginner. Fits and looks great. Putting the big loop on all my Rossi's. A nightmare ,on line videos do not address this change. No instructions with lever. Ended up taking it to a gunsmith that had a terrible time with it. You must have A blank before you start.

Bugs: may I suggest that you go to a couple matches and check out more rifles that folks are using. Fun is a big part of shooting, and the Rossi R92 Tactical is fun! I asked how that could be when they advertise rifles with the large loop on their website and he said that the large loop lever could not be retrofitted as the guns with that lever are special built to take it.
