Who names a peak 10,? Update The parking lot at Guardsman Pass has been permanently closed. It is only used for shuttle access. We are going to go and check out what the new hike will look like, or how best to get to the trailhead. The trail starts at Guardsman Pass.

Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas. Definitely some scrambling but we found it manageable. Went out on a Monday and we only saw a handful of people. Trail was good. Some snow and ice in the shaded areas and a little mud but not bad at all. The view from Peak gave a great panoramic view of Brighton and other ski area peaks. Interesting and challenging trail.

Peak is named for its elevation. Due to its high elevation and easy access, peak 10, is a great place for early and late season backcountry skiing. With mostly low angle gladed slopes, and low exposure 10, is a friendly place to backcountry ski. Know the snowpack, know terrain, and know when to say no. There is good skiing to be had on all aspects! Ten four twenty has mostly gladed tree skiing with some open faces on the on the NE and SW aspects.
