Sophies universe part 7
Well I have finally got round to sophies universe part 7 some pictures of the small single colour Sophie I made recently. This is intended for a baby due this month and I hope will be used as a pram blanket.
I had to have a go myself as soon as I saw it. You can read about my Sophie here. I never did do that follow up post! So when I heard that Dedri was turning the pattern into a book, I had to have a look so I arranged for one to come here to me and boy is it good! The first thing I noticed was the weight of it! I got through round 12 today. It is bigger than I expected it to be at this point. I have just finished round 37 which is popcorn separated by chain 2 spaces. The Mandala is complete. The yarn I have been using is Stylecraft DK and my favourite 4. The CAL was amazing to do.

Please Note: In some of the photos I have photographed the Softfun or Stonewashed XL instead of the Cotton 8 to make it easier for you to see the stitches. Occasionally I will use a different colour in some of the photos for the same reason. In this particular tutorial, this affects Rounds 11 — If you would like to use the invisible join instead of the sl st join at the end of each round, you can find a step-by-step photo tutorial HERE.

This week we will be making the short sides a bit more interesting by introducing a large central flower and some zigzags. I would like to say thank you to everyone who posted photos of their flower-giving last week. This week I would like you to share some photos of the men in your lives this can be any man in your life, not just family posing with Sophie. Dare them, bribe them, beg them…whatever it takes!
