It seems unlikely to me that somebody would pay for a Trading card with credit card but maybe they used wallet funds added via CC that haven't been properly cleared yet? If I had to guess the buyer must have used external funds directly when doing the purchase i, steam pending money.

It's a new feature added to the Steam market to slow down if not stop people hijacked accounts to have all their items sold off without the account holder being able to do anything about it, now they are held for hours to days depending to allow the user to regain access to their accounts and cancel the transactions if they did not do them and no you cannot get around it and have to be patient and wait for the funds to release.
