The River of History is probably the most comprehensive book about the Nile ever written. The result is a travelogue through years and 11 countries, from the Mediterranean to Central Africa. Toby Wilkinson earned a degree in Egyptology from the University of Cambridge, and is the recipient of several prestigious awards given in his field.
