One thing the sequel can do is resolve unanswered questions, such as what exactly happened to the Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey Rabbit and Owl. Eeyore is featured in the beginning with young Christopher Robin Frederick Dallaway. Owl and Rabbit are seen with young Christopher Robin, and they are shown to have starved and eaten Eeyore with Pooh and Piglet. Blood and Honey doesn't explain why Pooh and Piglet are the only serial killers in the Hundred Acre Wood, or what happened between Eeyore being eaten and Christopher Robin returning. Pooh and Piglet end up traumatized by what they did to Eeyore, so if they had done that to Owl and Rabbit, they should provide the same memorialization for their friends.
