I could only use it once, after the second time I opened the application a sign appeared that said "Your admin has restricted access to the new Teams" "Please switch back to classic Teams. I have been using New Teams for some time. A couple of weeks ago, it started returning the message "Your admin has restricted access to the new Teams" in black text on a dark background, no less. I was previously signed into multiple tenants, so I am not sure whether or not it is attempting to connect to the correct tenant. I log in once. Hitting the same issue - works fine the first time round, then says restricted but not clear in which tenant. Have you tried removing the new teams under Apps and Features. This resolved the issue for me. Once the app is removed, try toggling from classic and it should reboot teams and launch the new Teams client. Having initially been able to use the new Teams, I now repeatedly get this error message: Your admin has restricted access to the new Teams - while repeatedly inviting me to switch.. I agree with Opaque's comment below Oct - what on earth is MS doing?? How can millions of users be struggling to resolve these problems with so little support? Provide product feedback. The next time New Teams is launched it says Admin has restricted it, use classic instead. Is there a debug log somewhere?
I was curious if anyone else was seeing the behavior that Teams is defaulting to New Teams after updating to the release for Windows 11, December ? Our global Teams policy is set to "Not enabled" for using new Teams. There's not any option in the Office Configuration portal policies that controls this behavior so, what the heck Microsoft? So, how do we ensure that our users do not have this happen when our tenant Teams policy has the Use new Teams Client set to Not Enabled? We also have unwanted installations of Teams New Client. In that documentations there is only one case with autostart, if there is any kind of even default deployment with Office Deployment Tools.

When I open new teams I get this screen: The problem I'm having is that the sign out button doesn't do anything anymore. Would appreciate a resolution to this problem.
